About Levon Stilson
I was born in the State of Colorado and have always had a deep commitment to service, leadership, and defending America’s safety and prosperity.
At the age of 17, I enlisted in the United States Army. During basic training, my discipline and work ethic were recognized by my Drill Sergeants, and I was selected for assignment to the United States Army Old Guard. There, I conducted full honors funerals for our fallen service members as a casket bearer. Standing alongside grieving families during their most difficult moments instilled in me a profound respect for sacrifice, duty, and country.
When the opportunity arose, I returned home to Colorado with an assignment to the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson. Shortly after the birth of my second child, I deployed to Afghanistan with the 2nd Brigade, 2-12 Infantry Battalion. That experience strengthened my appreciation for the freedom, prosperity, and security we enjoy as Americans, and my resolve to protect them for future generations.
In 2022, my wife and I made the decision that my time serving in uniform had come to an end. But my commitment to service did not. After being honorably discharged, I enrolled at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, majoring in Political Science and History. There, my study of the United States Constitution and the Colorado Constitution deepened my respect for our system of government and the liberties it protects.
While attending school full time, I worked in the Colorado State Legislature as a Legislative Aide, gaining firsthand insight and experience into how state government works—what serves the people well, and where it falls short. I believe Colorado deserves leaders whose number one priority is serving the people they represent.
I am Levon Stilson, and that is exactly what I will do as your next State Senator.
